2011-2012 PARENT AGREEMENT
We are no longer able to accept new dancers for the current dance session. Please contact the office to register for drama/acting classes. *Exception: Boys enrolling in Saturday Hip Hop classes through March 17th, 2012. See coupon for new students.

1. I understand that my child’s tuition is due on the first of each month. Class fees have been divided into 10 equal monthly payments. If my tuition has not been paid by close of business on the 8th of each month, a $20.00 late fee will be automatically debited from my account, along with tuition. If I have not paid my tuition by the 15th of the month, my child will not be allowed to take class. I understand that I can mail the tuition check to the school prior to the 1st of the month if I cannot hand-deliver it. I understand that I can leave tuition payments in the locked drop box located in the lobby if there is no staff available to take my payment. I also understand that any tuition payment made is non-refundable.
2. I understand that it is the policy of NorthPointe to automatically deduct my tuition fees from a credit or debit card that I provide. I understand that it is my responsibility to notify NorthPointe if I receive a new credit/debit card. I understand that I am also subject to late fees if my credit/debit card is declined for tuition. I understand that if I refuse to provide a credit/debit card then I will be charged an additional 3% processing fee per month, in addition to my tuition cost. I understand that I receive a 5% discount off of my tuition cost if I pay for the entire year in advance.
3. I understand that I will need to pay a yearly registration fee of $30.00 to enroll my child in class.
4. I understand that if my check is returned to NorthPointe Dance Academy due to insufficient funds, I am required to cover the check with a money order, cashiers check, or cash plus a $30.00 returned check fee, within 5 days of notification.
5. I understand to ensure full enjoyment and continued growth regular attendance is essential. If notification is received prior to missing a class, a make-up class may be arranged. MISSED CLASSES ARE NOT REFUNDED.
6. I understand that my child should arrive to class promptly. Most students find it beneficial to arrive a few minutes early to prepare for class.
7. Absolutely no chewing gum in the studio! Hair is to be pulled away from the face and secured neatly.
8. All students, siblings, and visitors under 13 must have adult supervision at all times while in our facility. Never leave a child unattended unless they are in class.
9. No jewelry is permitted in class.
10. I understand that NorthPointe Dance Academy requires a class leotard for all ballet classes. This assures for the best instruction possible with less distractions. Leotards can be purchased at NorthPointe. Additionally, hair should be in a bun and away from the face. I understand this will be strictly enforced.
11. Food and drink are permitted in the eating area only. Water bottles are permitted in the classrooms. Please help maintain our beautiful facility by placing items in trash receptacles.
12. I understand that prorating is not allowed unless I am a new student beginning in the middle of the month. I also understand that NorthPointe Dance Academy offers a generous make-up class policy that will allow my child to make-up any missed classes due to illness, school activities, weather, class cancellation or any other reason he/she missed class. I am to ask my child’s instructor to determine the make-up class time.
13. I understand that proper class placement is essential. I am willing to support NorthPointe decisions and selection of class placement.
14. I understand that there are observation windows that will allow me to observe my child in class. Family and friends are invited to attend class with my child during late fall and spring family nights.
15. I understand that NorthPointe Dance Academy is not responsible for lost personal items. I also understand that there is a lost and found that I should check regularly for my child’s lost items.
16. I understand that NorthPointe Dance Academy may close due to weather emergencies. Cancellation of daytime classes will be determined by 8:30 am and late afternoon/evening classes by 2:00 pm. Students will be provided the opportunity to make-up these classes.
17. I understand that NorthPointe Dance Academy will present a formal dance recital in mid-June. The recital is an excellent opportunity for students to display all of their hard work to friends and family members. However participation is not mandatory.
18. I understand costume fees for the recital will be $70.00 plus tax per class. A Costume deposit of $50.00 is due by November 15th and costume balances are due April 1st. These fees are non-refundable.
19. I understand that each family will pay a recital fee of $42.00 by May 1. This fee is in lieu of purchasing individual tickets for the performance. Each family is invited to bring as many guests as they choose.
20. I understand that there are monthly newsletters that will available online and in the front lobby every month. I also understand that notes and information are posted on the website, front door, in the hallway and on the bulletin boards.
21. I understand that my child should have a dance bag that will hold all shoes. He/She should bring that bag to every class. My child should take the bag into class with them instead of leaving it in the hallways.
22. I understand that NorthPointe Dance Academy reserves the right to cancel any classes with 5 students or less.
23. I understand that two weeks notification that my child will no longer be attending NorthPointe Dance Academy is necessary in order to stop charges to my account.
24. I understand that if my account is not current, my child will not be allowed to participate in classes or performances.
25. As a parent, I understand that a positive attitude and continued support is necessary in order for my child to continue the privilege of participating in the school’s program. I also understand that if I choose to have a negative attitude or cause volatile scenes in any way, my child and I will be asked to leave the school.
26. I understand that NorthPointe Dance Academy reserves the right to refuse services to any person who does not support the policies and decisions set forth.
27. I understand that the Directors and employees of NorthPointe Dance Academy will discuss only my child’s progress and not other children’s progress at the school with the staff. I should not compare my child to other dancers, and I should be supportive and nurturing to their development in dance.
